Chicago Cubs reliever Shawn Camp was sent to the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a sprained right big toe.

Camp was treated for the injury on Sunday, and told the Cubs he could pitch through it. The Cubs decided to designate reliever Michael Bowden for assignment instead of putting Camp on the DL on Monday.

The condition worsened, however, and bothered Camp on Tuesday in the Cubs' 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh. Camp gave up the go-ahead grand slam to Travis Snider in the sixth inning of the game, his third blown save.
