Tony Pulis wants Cardiff club captain and centre-half Mark Hudson to bolster Crystal Palace's fight against relegation.

Hudson, who spent four years at Palace from 2004-08, signed a new deal at the Welsh club in the summer after their promotion to the top flight.

The Londoners' new boss Pulis is keen to strengthen his defence while he is also interested in Blackburn's £6m rated striker Jordan Rhodes
