"The chances of Sidney Crosby making his return from post-concussion syndrome against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday have been downgraded from slim to none.

As the Jets get set to host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday at MTS Centre, there was some buzz circulating that Crosby might be back in the lineup since he was cleared for contact last week.

However, both Crosby (post-concussion syndrome) and Evgeni Malkin — who has been limited to three games and missed three of the last four after undergoing off-season knee surgery — were among the injured Penguins who didn't make the trip to Winnipeg, instead remaining in Pittsburgh."
