Isaiah Zierden has seen his minutes fluctuate throughout the season, but the Creighton freshman was making a bigger contribution lately. Unfortunately, Zierden's increased role has hit a potential bump in the road.

The 6-foot-2 guard left Saturday's game against Xavier with an injury, and his status going forward is unclear.

Creighton released a statement on Sunday evening:

"X-rays done today showed no fractures or bone chips in Isaiah's right knee, but he did suffer a medial collateral ligament injury at the time of his patellar dislocation during Saturday's game at Xavier. He will undergo an MRI on Monday in Washington, D.C. that will determine if any other possible injuries were suffered and help determine whether or not surgery is needed. He is out indefinitely."
