"Vincent Jackson practiced Wednesday for the first time this season as an official member of the Chargers.

About the same time, Patrick Crayton was undergoing surgery on the left wrist he dislocated scoring a touchdown Monday night.

The Chargers hope Crayton, their leading receiver over the past six games, can return by the end of the season, perhaps as early as their game against the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 16.

After practice, Jackson spoke to the media but repeatedly declined to address the contractual stalemate that kept him out up until he signed on Oct. 29. He has spent the interim on the Roster Exempt List and was added to the 53-man roster on Tuesday.
