The 2013 class of the Baseball Hall of Fame will be announced at 1 p.m. CST Wednesday.

As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, ex-Astros star Craig Biggio appeared to have the best chance at earning entry. But with 139 votes recorded in an informal poll, Biggio was stuck at 69.7 percent — more than five percent below the cut-off mark of 75 percent. Former Houston slugger Jeff Bagwell was second with 90 votes.

Three non-living members have already been elected by the veterans committee. If the Baseball Writers Association of America doesn't elect a player, it'll be the first time since 1996 the BBWAA recorded a shutout.
