"Wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who broke his left foot in early June and missed the preseason, had X-rays on the same foot after playing extensively in the first half Sunday.
Those images came back negative, but Crabtree admitted, "It hurt so bad, I was concerned."
Coach Jim Harbaugh removed Crabtree from the game early in the second half of San Francisco's 33-17 win.
"Coach did a good job letting me know (he was taking me out)," Crabtree said in the locker room. "He'd seen me limping. I was trying to hide it, trying to stay on the field. It is what it is.""
