"The Bengals have granted permission to the Dolphins to talk to Kevin Coyle about their defensive coordinator opening with the interview slated to take place later this week.

Coyle has been the Bengals secondary coach since 2001 and has been the leading in-house candidate to replace Mike Zimmer if he would leave for a head coaching position. Zimmer interviewed with the Dolphins and Buccaneers and has received interest from the Colts. There still remains the possibility that Zimmer could get a second opening with Tampa Bay, whose head coaching search has gone on for more than three weeks."
