"All signs point to tight end Jason Witten (concussion) and cornerback Mike Jenkins (knee) playing Sunday at Houston.
"Right now, it looks like they will play," coach Wade Phillips said Monday. "Witten is more like DeMarcus Ware was last week (with a slight concussion). Jenkins has a bruised knee. He may be a little slower."
Witten was injured midway through the fourth quarter Sunday when the back of his helmet slammed onto the turf at Cowboys Stadium at the end of a 23-yard reception. A few minutes later, Jenkins hurt his right knee while attempting to fight off a block during a 38-yard run by Chicago's Devin Hester.
Witten said he expects to play against the Texans. He pressured a team doctor on the sideline to let him return against the Bears, but the doctor said no.
"I understand what his role is and what he's trying to do, but I felt like I know my body better than anyone else," Witten said. "Any competitor is going to try to do that. It wasn't an issue of trying to be a tough guy or anything like that. I just felt like I was OK and there was six minutes to go in the game."
Ware was diagnosed with a slight concussion last week. He was limited in practice for two days before having full participation Friday.
"I'm sure there is protocol you have to follow to get back out there, but I don't see it being any issue," Witten said.
An MRI revealed no ligament damage to Jenkins' knee."
