"Miles Austin did not make as much progress in coming back from his hamstring injury after Thanksgiving as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had hoped.

But Jones said he believes Austin and Felix Jones will play big roles in any success the Cowboys have from here.

"I would hope at the end of the year I'm able to say, 'Man, without Miles and without Felix, we wouldn't have accomplished what we accomplished," Jones said Thursday at Valley Ranch.

Austin missed practice again Thursday, although he worked on the side with trainers.
