"Dallas Morning News columnist Rick Gosselin chatted with readers Monday following the Cowboys' 44-7 victory over the Bills. Here are some highlights from the chat:
With our soft schedule coming up, can we at least think Wild Card spot if we can't beat the Giants?
Detroit has a tie-breaker edge against the Cowboys. If the Lions get to 10, I think they can get in. Chicago has four very winnable games coming up these next four weeks -- all four of the teams from the AFC West. Then comes a home game with Seattle. I think 6-3 Chicago is a safe bet to get to 10, probably even 11 before Christmas. The 6-3 Lions have winnable games left in pursuit of 10 victories, including home games against the Panthers, Vikings and Chargers. So a road game at Oakland in December may determine is the Lions can get to 10 for wild-card consideration or not. If both the Lions and Bears get to 10, I think the Cowboys could be out of the NFC wild-card mis. So the safest bet is winning the division."
