Kings center DeMarcus Cousins always seems to be receiving advice on how to play and act like a mature NBA player. After the Kings' win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday,Lakers starKobeBryant recalled telling Cousins at the All-Star break in February to cut the "bull" and just play and not allow immaturity to overshadow his talents.Since then, some of the league's biggest stars and other veterans have shared bits of wisdom with Cousins. The second-year center spent time with future teammate Chuck Hayes and Boston All-Star Rajon Rondo while playing with other NBA players in Kentucky."I was around Chuck, and I was around Rondo, and they both gave me lots of advice," Cousins said. "I even got a chance to spend time around LeBron (James) and KD (Kevin Durant)."Cousins said he learned a lot from those experiences. He said he noticed the elite players competed hard even in exhibition games. He also has been able to see how those stars handle life off the court at various functions.
