There are a ton of talented guards in the 2014 NBA Draft, and one of those guards is Dante Exum. Exum has been coveted by many teams around the NBA, and one of those teams that are enamored with him is the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers reportedly believe that Michael Carter-Williams and Exum could play together, but they also have bounced around the idea of trading Carter-Williams if they draft Exum. According to Chad Ford of ESPN, the 76ers have indeed thought about the possibility of putting Carter-Williams on the trade block.

“The Philadelphia 76ers are Exum fans as well, and if Wiggins is off the board, Exum will be in the mix. They think Exum and Carter-Williams could play together in the backcourt, although it would not be a very good shooting tandem. I think the more obvious fit comes if they trade Carter-Williams, an idea I’m told they have bounced around.” - Chad Ford

This certainly doesn’t seem like a smart move, especially after the way that Carter-Williams played this past season. He won the NBA’s Rookie of the Year Award, and showed the ability to be a threat in every aspect of the point guard position.
