"New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Monday that he's "very concerned" about getting defensive end Osi Umenyiora back from an ankle injury in time for Saturday's game against the New York Jets.

Coughlin, speaking to reporters on a conference call, also expressed doubt about Umenyiora returning before the end of the regular season. Umenyiora, who has missed the Giants' past three games with the ankle injury, would have to show "some major improvement" to return any time soon, according to Coughlin."
