If the general non-reaction was any indication it would seem like Riley Cooper was mostly accepted by Eagles fans.

Cooper took a four-day leave of absence from the team last Friday following a video that showed him yelling a racial slur at a security guard during a recent Kenny Chesney concert.

The Eagles ran out onto the field as a team during the pregame introductions before the start of their preseason game against the New England Patriots Friday. That meant Cooper’s first test in front of the fans didn’t come until he made his first reception which came with five minutes left in the first quarter to start the Eagles’ second drive of the game.

Quarterback Michael Vick hit Cooper over the middle for a 19-yard gain to midfield. There was only a smattering of boos for Cooper and hardly any reaction from his teammates.

Cooper had apologized to his teammates after the video came out. He was hoping that his teammates would be able to forgive him knowing that it might take some time.
