So it should come as no surprise that a story by a Houston television station this week that Adrian Peterson and Vince Young were working out together got some national attention. The only catch is that it means nothing.

Peterson always works out around the Houston area, and Young is quoted as saying, "Adrian and the other guys are here to work." That means other NFL players.

Young is going to be released or traded by Tennessee once the lockout ends, but there is no chance the Vikings are going to pursue him now that they have drafted Christian Ponder. Steve Wyche of NFL.com reported that the Vikings have had no internal discussions about acquiring Young. The surprise would have been if the Vikings were discussing Young."
