"Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders underwent surgery today to repair a torn biceps tendon in his right arm, team officials announced.
Sanders, who suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's loss at Houston, "will remain on the 53-man active roster at this time as the club monitors his rehabilitation," the team said in a news release.
The release went on to say "any timetable for the possibility of a return remains undetermined.''
Sanders' surgery was performed by noted sports injury specialist Dr. James Andrews."
