"The day after NFL games means monitoring injuries and not saying much about them. So there wasn't much of an update today on Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai, who has a shoulder/neck injury.
The Colts' leading rusher exited Sunday's 19-9 home win over Kansas City in the third quarter. Backup Mike Hart put the game away with an 11-yard TD run in the final minutes.
Asked today if he could comment about Addai's condition, Colts coach Jim Caldwell said, "I could not, not at this point, but we'll see as the day goes on."
The Colts typically meet with medical personnel late Monday. Caldwell rarely has any definitive information early Monday afternoon.
Addai has 278 yards rushing on 76 carries, a 3.7-yard average, with two rushing scores. He's also caught 18 passes for 118 yards.
But the Colts could be running out of running backs. Backup Donald Brown has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Hart missed two days of practice last week with a knee injury."
