"Kerry Collins threw for 110 yards and one touchdown after he replaced an injured Vince Young and led the Tennessee Titans to a 30-3 victory over the Jaguars on Monday in Jacksonville.

One year to the day since his last start – a 59-0 loss to the New England Patriots – Collins came on with 8:15 to play in the first quarter after Young sustained a sprained knee while being tackled after a fumbled snap.

His first play was a 20-yard completion to Damian Williams on third-and-12. He finished 11-for-16 overall and did not attempt a pass in the fourth quarter.

Collins, the 15-year veteran, and Williams, the third-round draft pick, connected four times for 48 yards. It was a career-high in receptions for Williams and tied him with tight end Bo Scaife for team-high honors.

With the victory the Titans (4-2) remained tied Indianapolis and Houston for first place in the AFC South. Jacksonville (3-3) fell a game back.

Jacksonville also lost its starting quarterback, David Garrard, to injury. Trent Edwards replaced Garrard late in the second quarter.

The Titans' defense intercepted each of them as it forced a season-high four turnovers (three interceptions, one fumble recovery).

Michael Griffin picked off Garrard and set up Collins' 2-yard touchdown pass to Scaife. Rookie Alterraun Verner got his second interception in as many weeks – against Edwards – and set up the second of Rob Bironas' season-high three field goals. Safety Vincent Fuller ended the Jaguars' best offensive possession when he intercepted a pass in the end zone with a little more than six minutes to play."
