Coles guaranteed $9.75M for 2009

"The Newark Star-Ledger reported that former New York Jets wide receiver Laveranues Coles is guaranteed $9.75 million for the 2009 season with the Bengals.

The report said Coles, who signed a four-year, $27.5 million deal with the Bengals last week, received a $3 million signing bonus, a $4.7 million roster bonus, a $1.9 million base salary and a $100,000 workout bonus for 2009.

Coles' base salaries will be $4.6 million in 2010, $6.4 million in 2011 and $6.4 million in 2012 with a $100,000 workout bonus each year.

On Tuesday, the Bengals confirmed a visit by Green Bay Packers restricted free agent fullback John Kuhn, a 6-foot, 250-pound blocking specialist.

"He had a good visit. There is mutual interest," Kuhn's agent, Kevin Gold, told the team's Web site. "The dilemma teams face is that they need to make an offer that's good enough so the other team won't match.""
