The Raptors president/general manager is not shy about making bold moves.

Some turn out to be successes, others, dismal failures.

When they don't work out, he moves quickly to try to turn things around.

To that end, Colangelo is now on the verge of removing his two ugliest contracts from the books, though nothing is yet official and the bulk of the deal now appears to be in jeopardy.

The Arizona Republic first reported Sunday that Hedo Turkoglu — who inked a five-year, $52-million-US deal with the club last summer — would be heading to Phoenix in exchange for guard Leandro Barbosa and that Charlotte forward Boris Diaw would also be Toronto-bound, but it turned out to be a far more advanced transaction than that.

The Raptors were to also ship out longest-serving member, Jose Calderon, along with Reggie Evans, for centre Tyson Chandler.

But Yahoo! Sports reported late Monday that Bobcats owner Michael Jordan was having "second thoughts" about moving Chandler and that the two sides would head back to the table Tuesday to see if the trade could be salvaged.

The Turkoglu-Barbosa swap is done and Chandler had already told the Associated Press that he had been traded to Toronto, while Evans had said his goodbyes to Toronto via Twitter."
