"The Clippers have played 25 games. Guard Randy Foye has played in only seven of them.

The rest he has missed with injuries, and the Clippers (5-20), in turn, have missed a veteran among a young core of players.

But Foye, who hasn't played since a Nov. 26 loss at Phoenix, expects to return Wednesday night against Philadelphia now that he's recovered from a strained left hamstring.

"The last four or five games, I've been really anxious, just to get out there and play again," Foye said Tuesday after practice. In that stretch, the Clippers have suffered two one-point losses and two nine-point losses, and Foye knows his presence in those games could have made a difference.

"I love playing in situations like that," he said.

Foye, 27, in his fifth season in the league, has averaged 4.6 points this season.

Coach Vinny Del Negro said the Clippers will ease Foye into the game; Foye said he rushed his previous return this season from a hamstring strain.

His return could help as the Clippers look for their first road victory this season; they are 0-10."
