Clemson running back Tyshon Dye will miss spring practice after suffering a torn Achilles tendon during winter workouts on Friday.

Per a school release, Tigers coach Dabo Swinney expects Dye, a four-star member of the 2013 recruiting class, to be healthy for the fall season. This is the second injury-related setback for Dye since his arrival on campus. The Elberton, Ga., native already suffered a back injury that resulted in him redshirting the 2013 season.

Clemson's offense will be undergoing significant change this offseason as the coaching staff looks to replace star quarterback Tajh Boyd, wide receivers Sammy Watkins and Martavis Bryant along with 1,000-yard rusher Roderick McDowell.
