Jaqueline Carvalho is a 32-year-old Olympic indoor volleyball player, part-time model and famous pitch woman in Brazil. The Brazil native is one of the most decorated volleyball players in the world, as she’s racked up medals in virtually every international competition. Some of the highlights on the outside hitter’s career resume include winning five golds and two silvers at World Grand Prix, two golds at World Grand Champions Cups, two silvers and a bronze at World Championships, and two Olympic gold medals. She first started playing for the Brazil national team in 2001.
Jaqueline and the rest of the Brazil squad have dominated the Olympics in recent years, winning gold medals in both 2008 and 2012. Unfortunately, no podium for Brazil in women’s volleyball in Rio as the team fell in the quarter-finals to China. Not ideal, but you can’t win everything all the time, unless your Usain Bolt.
Away from the court Carvalho is married to Brazilian men’s national team member Murilo Endres and the pair have one son born in 2013. And the 6-1 beauty isn’t just a pretty face, in 2010 she was named ‘Best Spiker’ at the 2010 FIVB World Grand Prix, 2012 she was named ‘Best Receiver’ at the World Championships.
