"Perhaps interim head coach Romeo Crennel isn't such a slam dunk for the Chiefs' permanent job after all.

Multiple reports on Wednesday had Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin interviewing in Kansas City on Wednesday night for the Chiefs' head coaching position.

Philbin, 50, boasts some impressive credentials. The Packers have been in the top 10 in both scoring and yardage in each of his five seasons as their coordinator.

Time, though, is not on Philbin's side. According to the NFL's anti-tampering rules, the Chiefs cannot hire Philbin or any other coach who is working for another team until that team's season is finished."
