Well, here’s something you don’t see every day. Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters will testify on behalf of Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch during his suspension appeal hearing.

Lynch was suspended for one game for shoving a referee during the Raiders’ win over the very same Chiefs last week. So, think about this for a minute, not only is Peters attempting to help a player on an opposing team avoid a suspension, but that player in question is on a division rival.

Oakland also may have saved its season with the victory over Kansas City, as the Raiders would have dropped to 2-5 with a loss. Instead, the silver and black ended its four-game losing streak and improved to 3-4. The Chiefs have lost two straight games after getting off to a 5-0 start, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers and then Oakland.
