Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel could be set to end his eight-year stay at Stamford Bridge, with Inter Milan lining him up for a summer move to Italy.

The Nigerian international has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season, starting just nine Premier League matches.

The 26-year-old finds himself behind the likes of Ramires, Frank Lampard and Nemanja Matic in the pecking order for a central midfield role, while David Luiz has also been selected ahead of him in that position recently.

And according to reports emanating from Italy's Gazzetta dello Sport, Mikel is being lined up by Nerazzurri boss Walter Mazzarri for a £12.3million move to San Siro.
