Chelsea have been alerted to the availability of Eliaquim Mangala after Porto admitted they are ready to consider offers for the defender.

Mangala, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Barcelona, is known to be a key transfer target for Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea had an offer rejected for the 22-year-old in the summer, but they are now set to go in with a fresh bid, after Porto admitted they are open to doing business.

‘I see his name linked with clubs all the time in the media,’ said Porto president Pinto da Costa.

‘He has a release clause and clubs know that, but if a bid arrives that attracts us then we could sell.’
