Chauncey Billups knew Friday morning he couldn't go in Game 3, and not only doesn't know if he can play in Sunday's Game 4, but isn't certain he can return from his left knee injury however long the series goes.

"I think it's maybe a chance, but I don't know that to be 100 percent true," he said before Friday's game. "I'm just praying for a miracle."

Billups said he's still "hopeful" the cortisone shot kicks in that he got Wednesday when he also underwent an MRI that revealed a strained tendon in the knee he injured in Game 1.

For now, he said: "I can't really load on it, can't push off, can't really jump. Walking around I'm fine now. But as you see in this series, there's not a lot of walking."
