""Twitter is awesome," Patriots star Chad Ochocinco, a self-crowned social media guru with 3 million-plus Twitter followers, told Hub college students last night.

The Herald sat in on his guest lecture as part of Emerson College Professor David Gerzof Richard's Social Media Class, where Ochocinco discussed the impact Twitter and other online communications have had on his career.

He offered his audience five tips to rock Twitter on their own:

• Be inventive: "I'm creative and, because of the way I am, I've been able to get the following I have."

• Don't censor yourself: "I curse in my feed. I can express myself in ways other athletes can't, and so I can relate to everybody."

• Use it as a dating site: "I met my fiance on Twitter," he said. "And it's because we had a fight!""
