"Was there ever any doubt new Patriots receiver Chad Ochocinco would be able to obtain the No. 85 -- the reason he changed his name from Chad Johnson -- from Aaron Hernandez?

It didn't take long. Ochocinco was wearing it by the second practice of his first day with the team. If only we could have listened in on the conversations depicted above, which took place in the morning, prior to the photo at right being shot during the second practice session.

The Globe's Greg Bedard tweeted earlier today he heard, but hasn't yet confirmed, that Hernandez outright gave the number to Ochocinco and "asked for nothing." He also wrote in his practice report that Hernandez wore shorts with No. 81 on them, which was Hernandez's number at Florida."
