Celtics' Wallace in danger of suspension

"With at least two more games remaining in the 2010 NBA Finals, the Celtics now have two players who are one technical foul short of a one-game suspension. NBA rules specify that a player be suspended for one game after picking up a seventh postseason technical, but don't expect the Lakers to intentionally provoke either Rasheed Wallace or Kendrick Perkins into receiving the disqualifying calls.

"That's not fair play," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Friday. "That's not the way to play games.

"Yeah, you can be provocative and get out there and act kind of like they do if you want to; get in people's faces and do that. But that's not the way I like to coach a team. That's not what I consider positive coaching, and that's what I like to think is the right way to do things."

Wallace received a technical foul with 7:25 remaining in the fourth quarter of Thursday's Game 4 when he danced away from referee Scott Foster after being called for a personal foul. Though it appeared he did not have a verbal exchange with the officials, he was whistled for "showing up" the referees by his actions."
