"The possibility of Nate Robinson returning to the Celtics on a new contract appeared highly remote three months ago, when he had played himself into Doc Rivers' doghouse.
A late-season and playoff resurrection, however, brought Robinson back into the good graces of Rivers and Friday morning, Robinson agreed to return to the Celtics with a two-year contract, according to an NBA source.
Robinson Tweeted today that he was headed back to "Beantown" and the Celtics desperately needed youth and some relief for starting point guard Rajon Rondo. Robinson finally appeared to understand Rivers' system during the postseason and flourished during the NBA Finals."
