Celtic boss Neil Lennon will make a new bid for Peterborough's exciting play-maker Lee Tomlin in the next window.

Lennon tried and failed with three offers for unsettled Tomlin before the last window shut as Posh quoted him a £4.5 million fee.

And Lennon sent top English spy Craig Strachan - son of Scotland boss Gordon - to watch the number ten' dazzle at the weekend.

Tomlin's boss Darren Ferguson praised Tomlin for his display and said: "I knew he would be fine.

"He was a bit down but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly he dealt with it.

"It's his first experience of it he is a young lad. He looked good and had some really good moments."
