"Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is expected to miss Saturday's game against the Thunder here due to a sprained wrist and sprained ankle, saying he'll need "a miracle'' to suit up.
Mike D'Antoni said Bill Walker will start in Anthony's place at small forward when the Knicks likely will have their hands full with the well-rested 10-2 Thunder.
Anthony is instead shooting for Monday's MLK Day matinee vs. Orlando at Madison Square Garden, but that is no certainty. Amar'e Stoudemire missed two games with a sprained ankle earlier this month and that looks like it may be the case for Anthony.
Asked which hurts more, Anthony said, "Both of them. Both of them are pretty sore. The ankle's sore.''"
