"Before the Knicks took the court against Chicago at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night, the results of the NBA All-Star balloting were announced. Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Bulls guard Derrick Rose were selected starters for the Eastern Conference team.

It was Anthony's fifth selection to the All-Star team — his fourth as a starter.
