Coach Rick Carlisle doesn't totally rely on stats to determine whether or not one of his Dallas Mavericks players is pulling his weight.

So when he was informed that in three of the past four games forward Shawn Marion has just 14 points and 14 rebounds, Carlisle didn't blink.

"I don't read anything into the fact that his stats may be a little down in recent games," Carlisle said. "He's a proven playoff warrior and he'll be ready to play."

Marion arguably has to work harder than any other Mavs player because he has to defend everyone from point guards to power forwards. Such a workload could wear down even the most physical player.
