Cardinals catcher and NL All-Star starter Yadier Molina didn't play in Saturday's win over the Marlins. Instead, he underwent an MRI on his irritated right knee.

According to the AP, Molina told Adam Wainwright that the tests were "purely precautionary." Molina initially tweaked the knee on Friday. "He could be good enough to go tomorrow," manager Mike Matheny said on Saturday (MLB.com, Jennifer Langosch). "We just want to rule things out and get a good look at it."
