In the absence of injured starting quarterback Carson Palmer, the Arizona Cardinals will be forced to find another way to win on Sunday afternoon against the rival San Francisco 49ers. However, it appears as though the NFC West franchise already has something up its sleeve: Feed running back Adrian Peterson.

According to Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin, the team’s strategy is quite simple.

“Feed the beast,” Goodwin recently said, via the team’s official website. “It’s like an old stove. The more wood you put in it, the hotter it gets. We’ve just got to make sure we feed him the ball so he can get comfortable.”

While just recently coming over from the New Orleans Saints, the former Minnesota Vikings running back broke out for 134 yards and two touchdowns in his Cardinals debut back on October 15.
