The Arizona Cardinals signed quarterback Matt Barkley and elevated safety Harlan Miller from the practice squad on Monday after a rash of injuries hit in their Thursday loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Cornerback Jarell Carter was additionally added to the practice squad.

Arizona placed safety Tyvon Branch (knee), tackle D.J. Humphries (knee) and tight end Ifeanyi Momah (ankle) on the injured reserve. All are out for the season.

Barkley is a 27-year-old alumnus of USC who has seen NFL playing time with the Eagles and Bears after spending 2015 on the Cardinals’ inactive list.
