The Arizona Cardinals signed quarterback Mike Bercovici to the practice squad on Monday, according to multiple reports. On Tuesday, Bercovici’s agent confirmed such rumors.

The move to sign Bercovici comes in the wake of the injury to incumbent starting quarterback Carson Palmer, who suffered an arm injury on Sunday against the rival Los Angeles Rams. He will undergo surgery and it is unclear as to when he will eventually return. Palmer, 37, was knocked out of the game during the second quarter. He finished the game with 122 yards and one interception, which came on the hit that injured the quarterback. Coming on in relief was Drew Stanton, who completed five of his 14 passing attempts for 62 yards and one interception while being sacked twice.
