"Now that Matt Leinart is gone and Derek Anderson is his starting quarterback, Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald decided it was time to come clean and set the record straight.

No, not about Leinart, although No. 11 maintains he didn't lobby one way or the other about whom he wants throwing passes his way this season.

But the four-time Pro Bowl wideout did acknowledge he has concerns as the Cardinals prepare for Sunday's season opener in St. Louis. Fitzgerald said it's the lack of time he's had to work with Anderson to develop even just a sliver of the timing and chemistry he had with Kurt Warner.

Leinart, who was released a week ago and picked up by the Houston Texans, got most of the snaps in training camp with the first-team offense. Then in the first preseason game, against Houston coincidentally, Fitzgerald suffered sprained ligaments in his right knee upon catching a Leinart pass.

He didn't start fully participating in practice until this week, so he's had only a few days to really get a feel for Anderson."
