The Arizona Cardinals are expected to pay linebacker Daryl Washington's $10 million option bonus, according to AZCentral.com, keeping under contract for four more years. Washington signed the contract extension while he was having an All-Pro season, but there have been some significant changes since then.

The fifth-year linebacker was suspended four games by the league for violating the substance policy and then arrested in May for the alleged assault of an ex-girlfriend. Washington has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to begin trial on Jan. 30, but the league could still suspend him for a part of next season. The Cardinals also have some big contract decisions to make, including fellow linebacker Karlos Dansby, and are expected to restructure wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald's current deal.
