After getting two days off to regroup after an embarrassing loss to Montreal on Saturday, Canucks players were greeted at practice on Tuesday by two revamped forward lines and a complete shuffle of the defence pairings.

That's what happens when teams struggle, and the Canucks have lost three of their past four games in regulation – all at home, where they usually win – and are a troubling 2-3-2 in the last seven. It's a poor time to stumble with just 13 games remaining until the playoffs.

"We took a look at a couple of different possibilities today," said Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault, who said the changes wouldn't necessarily be used against Phoenix on Wednesday. "As coaches we'll talk about it later today and discuss our next opponent and see what we come up with."
