Wait, these are the same guys that couldn’t buy a win — couldn’t buy a goal, even — on home ice earlier this season?!?

Coulda fooled us.

That record-setting seven-game losing streak at the Saddledome feels like ancient history now, as the Calgary Flames officially climbed to the .500 mark in their home digs with Monday’s 2-1 shootout victory over the San Jose Sharks.

With four dates remaining at the Dome, the Flames are now a 17-17-3 in their own barn.

“You become a playoff team when you dominate at home. That’s the first goal,” said Flames head coach Bob Hartley. “It’s tougher to win on the road, but first, if you take care of business at home, it always gives you extra points and then obviously you can build more confidence to go on the road.

“Our goal is to win every game remaining but ... let’s play well at home. Let’s get a swagger in this building.”
