"Coach Jim Caldwell wasn't prepared at mid-day today to give an update on the status of Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who suffered a right knee injury Sunday during the Colts' 14-12 victory over Jacksonville at Lucas Oil Stadium.
"Today is a day when the guys come back in we have an opportunity for them to be reviewed by trainers and doctors and MRIs and things of that nature," Caldwell said. "That's the process we're going through right now and until we have an opportunity to sit down and talk about it in detail and get all of the facts before we make an announcement."
Gonzalez fell to the turf while coming off the line of scrimmage on a first-quarter running play. There was no contact. He did not return.
With Gonzalez hurt, the Colts have three wide receivers on their roster: Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie. Wayne is a three-time Pro Bowl player. Garcon is in his second season after catching four passes last year. Collie is a rookie. "
