"The MRI exam C.J. Watson underwent late Monday confirmed the Bulls reserve guard won't need surgery, but his sprained left elbow sidelined him for Tuesday's game.
Though Watson planned to travel with the team on the three-game trip that begins Wednesday in Detroit, it's unlikely he will play this week. The team is calling him day-to-day.
"The big thing is getting the swelling out of the elbow," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "And then it's a pain threshold thing. As soon as he's ready to go, he'll go. He's as tough as they come.""
