After being removed in the sixth inning of Wednesday night's 9-1 loss to the Marlins, Cubs starter Matt Garza grabbed a bat in the dugout as he headed toward the clubhouse.

There was no telling whether designers had Garza-proofed the spanking new visitors' quarters at Marlins Park so everyone feared the worst.

"He thought he was going to hit," manager Dale Sveum cracked. "He was going to get some swings down in the tunnel there."
