The Milwaukee Bucks have picked up the third-year option of forward/center Thon Maker, according to Matt Velasquez of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Maker didn’t garner much time during his rookie season, but took a kick up in playing time during the playoffs, playing as a hybrid frontcourt player. The big man is still raw at the offensive end, but has shown promise with his range and ability to defend and rebound the ball.

The Bucks previously dangled him along with center Greg Monroe for a potential trade with the Phoenix Suns for point guard Eric Bledsoe.
