"Remember last season when the Bucks declined their third-year option on forward Joe Alexander?
The team faced a much easier decision this fall with 2009 first-round pick Brandon Jennings and announced Monday it had exercised the third-year option on Jennings' contract.
Jennings will be paid nearly $2.5 million next season in the third year of his rookie-scale contract and will be paid in the $2.3 million range this season.
The 10th overall pick in the 2009 draft, Jennings had a standout rookie season and finished third in the rookie of the year balloting behind Sacramento's Tyreke Evans and Golden State's Stephen Curry."
